On average, with a cervical exam like that, you should not make it to 2-12. As to when, I am sorry that I left my 'crystal ball' at the hospital, and can not consult it to answer that question! Seriously, there is no way to tell when, but it should be easy! With this exam, and a +GBBS history, I would tell you to get to the hospital as soon as your contractions got to single digits (10 or less minutes apart) just to be on the safe side. I am not aware of anything that can reliably speed up the process. Hope this helps.
