I have a question about a friend who recently had surgery to remove an etopic pregnacy. She was first told in December after some heavy bledding that she had a miscarriage. A month later she was experiancing some pain and they told her that she was indeed still pregnant than 15 weeks. After doing a sonogram that saw the baby and estimated 15 weeks, and told her that she had two uterus! Two days later she compalined of pain and went to the hospital after conducting a MRI! (?)She was told that she did not have two uterus and that what was wrong is that she had a 15 week etopic prgnancy that appeared as a uterus because the ovary had grown so big. They did an emergancy surgery and removed the ovary and the child. I can not understand how a pregnancy carried on till 15 weeks and how it survived this long. My friend and her husband were able to see the baby when it was removed and they said it was developing noramlly and it was a boy. This is the wieredst thing I have evr heard. How was this possiable? Doctor told her that he had never seen a prgnancy go on this long in this manner. Can you help explain some of this ? Bye this way the Netherlands.

Thanks, b.vanhethof
