I'm not sure about your second question, but babies can keep moving right up until delivery time although most settle in by about 36-37 weeks. My son was breech at 30 weeks and at each o/b appt after that (except one where he was transverse). However he turned around several times between appointments. He did finally turn again at 38.5 weeks (3 days before our scheduled c-section) and engaged straight away. Most of the movement I felt was down low, lots of kicks into my bladder, but not much constant pressure on it so I didn't need to go to the loo all the time :). We did feel movement up near my ribs, but could make out the shape of a hand resting on the babies head. The most obvious feeling to me that the baby was breech was the head that sat pushing into my ribs no matter what position I was in.
