How long does it take HCG back to 0, if miscarriage happened?

I had a miscarriage on 1/20 at 6weeks 3days. On that day, HCG was 1920. 2 days later (1/22), HCG back to 580. My doc decided no D&C for me.

9 days later (1/29), HCG was still above 0 (the doc didn't leave the number on my answer machine). Please advise if this is normal.

I am worried about if the miscarriage was completed or not.
