I am 30 years old and gave birth to my second child about a week and a half ago (at 38 weeks, he was breech, so we did a successful external version, but induced for fear that he would flip back around...delivered vaginally after 12 hours) About three days after the birth, a bit of my placenta was hanging out, and I had to go to my OB to have it removed. I have been bleeding quite red ever since (5 days) and intermittantly heavy. Should I be concerned about an infection? Do I need a D&C? How long will I bleed red for? Jenny
