no. very, very early HCG levels are very, very low -- remember, they start at 0!

this is true, but very early, the doubling rule does not hold so well, and in true, the rule is at least a 66% rise every 48 hrs.

get teh additional blood tests and keep hoping -- the numbers you report do NOT mean a miscarriage is inevitable, but they do mean you need continued follow up
