Re: Pregnancy after LupronFrom: Stacy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 27 Jan 2001 14:09:07 -0600 (CST)
I took Lupron for six months, despite the horrendous side effects (which for me were extremely bad - hot flashes, mood swings, depression, memory loss, weight gain, loss of hair). It was nearly six months before I got my period, and a year before I got pregnant. But I was taking it for endometriosis, not fertility, and I had laser surgery the same day I finally got my period. The side effects of Lupron never went away until I became pregnant, making me wonder if it ever did get completely out of my system. Though, to answer your question, they told me that you can be ovulating while taking Lupron, just not getting periods. And I know a few women who got pregnant right after their last shot. Just goes to show how different we all are. Stacy
