Abdominal pain at 32 weeks with previous pregnancyFrom: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 26 Jan 2001 19:34:43 -0600 (CST)
This message is regarding something that happened in my first pregnancy, and it was dismissed by my doctors. I'm curious if it is common. At about 32 weeks one evening I developed pain throughout my belly. I don't know if it originated in my uterus or possibly ligaments. It lasted several hours and was incredibly painful, like a burning pain that didn't subside. My entire belly feeling like a ball of fire. Every time the baby moved it was even more painful. My doctor assured me I wasn't in labor (which I wasn't). I finally fell asleep sometime during the night and when I woke up I was sore, but the pain was gone. I saw the doctor the next day and he chalked it up to ligament pain. There were no other occurrences before delivery. I didn't experience this in my second pregnancy or my third (so far I'm 24 weeks). What do you think this was? I have experienced lots of sharp, quick ligament pains with all my pregnancies but nothing like that.
