I did not have a positive pg test until I was one week late and only then was it realy faint. I recently thought that I was 8 weeks along according to my last period, but an ultrasound showed that I was actually only 6 weeks, which means that I conceived at about the time that I was expecting my period and that is why I did not get a positive until I was a week late. This may be the case for you, maybe you conceived late in your cycle. I would wait and retest in a few more days or go get a blood test.
