I was told I failed my 1 hour glucose test, my number was 145, cutoff was 139....6 points off!!! I fasted for 14 hrs before the test, could that have made me fail? Fasting too long? Anyway, I go for my 3 hr test Monday, and was wondering if I should avoid sweets, sweet drinks, etc...the nurse at Dr's office said to eat normally, no special 3 day diet like other Dr's prescribe. Anyway, I am very scared, my 1st pregnancy was textbook, now this. I am afraid of diabetes, I am overweight, but was with 1st baby too, and GTT was normal. What do you think my chances are of passing the 3 hr test? Please, anyone with ANY info on this, I am very nervous, need reassuring. Thanks in advance, you doctors here are always so helpful.
