post d&c cramping - normal?

Unfortunately, I had to have a d&c Thursday the 11th. A routine ultrasound showed us that our child hadn't developed past about 8 weeks (I was at 12 weeks). There was no heartbeat or movement and our baby could only be seen through a vaginal ultrasound.

My husband and I opted to have a d&c. Here's the situation... throughout this whole pregnancy I have had minor cramping only on my left side, lower abdomen (right at the hair line and below). It's never been anything truly uncomfortable, but it's definitely been noticeable.

Since the d&c, the cramping has steadily gotten worse, to the point that it is now uncomfortable and actually (excuse me for being quite so graphic) I can feel it down my left leg as well as around to my rectum.

It has been a week since the surgery and I am not bleeding much (some periodic red blood and some brown discharge) and I am not constipated. I'm not running a fever and, other than being extremely sad, I feel fine.

My doctor's office is closed tomorrow... should I be concerned enough about this cramping to page him or do you think that this can wait until Monday?
