Most docs are sensitive to this issue and will begin checking your cervix at 37-38 weeks. If the cervix is favorable and a patient lives a distance from the hospital, and further, has a history of rapid labors, most will allow induction at the appropriate time. Regarding the nipple stim issue. This is NEVER safe in an unmonitored situation. I have seen fetal distress develop from nipple stim done in a controlled environment. Unless you want problems, leave those nipples alone at this point... Lynn
