Kathy, I'm not a doctor, but I can tell you my experiences with IUI went fine (and worked!) My RE's only limitation on activity the day of the IUI were no swimming. He had me rest for 10-15 minutes before leaving the office, but then I was free to go back to work. The last cycle, which worked, I spend the few hours after the IUI at the mall Christmas shopping, so I was pretty active. This was just my experience, but my friend has a different RE and he has the same protocol.

As for what's next after Clomid/IUI, I would have been moving on to injectible fertility drugs and IUI, but that's a moot point now.
