Next Step: IUI

I am 33 yo with a 4 yo daughter. It took me a year to conceive her without any interventions. I have been TTC for about a year. I had known issues, so I went to an RE fairly quickly. My problems are: large posterior cervical fibroid (~12cm) and adhesions from my C-section (found during a lap). I have pain in my C-sec scar when I get my period. My RE cut apart my left tube and ovary, but left the adhesions that are causing my uterus to be attached to my abdomen. He said it was too extensive to cut apart. No endo evident.

He felt, overall, that I should be able to conceive and carry. But, three months after the lap, still no baby. (Despite lots of cervial mucus and plentiful well-timed intercourse!)

Our next step is IUI with Clomid. I trying to be optimistic b/c there is no clear reason why I am not pregnant. (Tubes clear when I had a hysterosalpingogram; mature follicle evident via ultrasound.)

Questions: When I have the IUI, is there any benefit in resting on the day of the insemination, or is it okay to bounce off to work right away? If the IUI with Clomid does not work, what would be the next step (should I choose to take it)? Any other thoughts are much appreciated!

Thanks! Kathy
