Hi Elizabeth, When I very first became pregnant and was having alot of dental work done. I had alot of questions about medication and what was safe and what was not. My doctor gave me this phone number to call, it's a University that studies the effects of medication on pregnant women and their unborn babies. They are very helpful and can give you the pro's and con's the number is (619) 543-2131. They have really helped me alot. I hope this helps. Susan

I was the one that posted about being prescribed Darvocet for back >pains. I'm really worried about this now. I am 34 weeks pregnant and
>he gave me Darvocet for my back pain. I start hurting in my mid and
>lower back around 2:00 and hurt all night. My dr said Darvocet was safe
>and ok to take but I just worried about it and then the dr on here
>didn't seem to thrilled about it. Is there anyone else with an opinion
>on this? I've only had 1 and don't want to take anymore until I hear
>from someone else who might know if it's really safe.
>
>thanks!
