First, I am 34 weeks pregnant and last night had a severe sharp pain in my left lower abdomen. This morning it is hurting again but not severe. My mid to lower back is also hurting this morning. Do I need to report this to my dr? Second, could someone please tell me what they refer to as "routine office visits?" I am just wondering what most doctors do at each visit. My doctor comes in, listens to the heartbeat and leaves. That's it. He doesn't check for swelling, dilation, etc. He doesn't ask me how things are going or anything. What do most doctors do at their patients appt this far along in their pregnancy? Thanks
