Should I have had >an mri. NO! I don't think you know what a placenta accreta is. It is where the placenta grows into the wall of the uterus. It usually does not separate from the wall of the uterus and this is the first time that we usually become aware of a placenta accreta. It has nothing to do with an umbilical cord strangling a baby.
