confused abt starting repronex shots

I am confused abt. starting shots b/c I want to make sure it is necessary before we spend the money out of pocket and the emotional toll. After an endometrial biopsy when I was on 100 mg of Clomid, the results came back 3-4 days lacking. My dr suggested going the shot route since I was lacking so much. My concern lies in the fact that I noticed that on Clomid - my luteul phase was shortened (usually 11 days). I did not notice this when I was not on Clomid. This cycle I am on nothing and I have already noticed that I am 12 days past ovulation according to temp chart and ovulation monitor. My temp is also still high today which leads me to believe that I am not going to get my period today (in past, temp drops day of or day before period). I do ovulate on my own and have been preg 2 times (1 miscarriage). My husband and I were going to drive 1 hr to get the medications for shots this weekend b/c it is cheaper at this recommended pharmacy. Before we do this, I need to know if I should just continue with this plan, or question if this is necessary since I my luteul phase does not seem to be shortened or at least as short when I am not on Clomid. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
