Sometimes it doesn't go away. I had low BP until I developed toxemia
with my second. I delivered and thought everything would go back to
normal. Wrong. I now have chronic hypertension. I am not overweight
and they have no cause for it. They blame it on the pregnancy. Instead
of your ob I would consult a regular dr or cardiologist. There are meds
to bring down BP. Best of luck!
