Hi there...Just wanted to let you know that I am currently eleven weeks
pregnant with high Anticardiolipins and elevated PTT. I take heparin
twice per day. I did start just when I ttc as well. But I was told I
could stop the heparin if I didn't conceive and then start again the
next month after my period. I just wanted you to know that my first mc
was at 5 weeks and second was at 6 and I had 3 healthy children prior to
those. As far as the heparin...Ice the injection site for at least 10
minutes BEFORE and AFTER. It really helps with the bruises and
injection pain. (no pain when I ice) My needle is 29 quage. At first
the bruises were pretty bad, but my tummy is getting used to the shots
and is not bruising nearly as bad. Just wanted you to know there is
someone else out there right now using heparin like you. Good luck and
email me with any questions. Maybe I can help.
