14 weeks, brown spottingFrom: Tency (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 5 Jan 2001 16:22:35 -0600 (CST)
I'm 14 weeks pregnant. I've heard the baby's heart beat, and saw the baby on ultrasound at 11 weeks. All is well. My question: Yesterday I had a very, very small amount of brown blood (it would have fit on a nickle, and it was not a drop, just a bunch of tiny specs). I don't really think it is cause for concern, but I suppose I'm looking for some reassurance. What is odd, is that if this is just old blood that needed to come out, one would think that I would have bled after my pap smear at 6 weeks, or after intercourse. I have done nothing within the last week to irritate my cervix or stimulate bleeding.
