I just saw my perinatologist yesterday and he seemed concerned that the baby is over 5 pounds already and I still have almost 10 weeks to go. How fast does a baby grow at this stage? I remember them saying 1 pound a week in the last month....what about the second to last month? My last daughter at full term was 9 lbs 7 oz and my other two were 8-12 and 8-13 (yes all very big girls...the last one was 23 inches long!) Does this mean she could be 12 pounds????? They want me to come in weekly, so I guess they are concerned.
