Am I Pregnant or Sick with the Flu?From: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 4 Jan 2001 23:25:32 -0600 (CST)
I have normal, 28-day cycles; periods last 5-6 days, starting heavy, getting lighter. We are ttc, and this month I started getting very achy around day 23 of my cycle (not normal). I spotted dark brown/black, on day 25, began normal flow, day 26 had VERY heavy flow, going through 3 super tampons and 3 thick pads (simultaneously) in two hours (VERY abnormal). My main concern was that it was all clots, dark red clots. On day 27, the flow was down to barely nothing and I got violently ill. I had severe vomiting and diarrhea for twelve hours; Phenergan suppository helped. Today, day 28, I have had no vomiting or diarrhea, but still ache all over. I put in two calls to my Gyn, with no response, and I am wondering if I could be pregnant, could have had a miscarriage (only about 2 weeks along), or was just sick with a yucky period. If I did have a miscarriage, I would want to know, as we are ttc, and that would provide info about our fertility. Thank you for your time. Amanda
