I am not a doctor, but I think is does depend on the doctor wheither or not one is done ( whatever is routine to them). I had one done with my first at 38 weeks and it was to see how much the baby was wieghing, because I was measuring big. Now if your doctor thinks that everything is good than there is probably no need for one. If I were you I would just go with what you doctor says. And If your cousin wants you to have one, just see if s/he will give you one theirself on their time. I do know of techs and doctors that do one of themselves regular just for reasuring purposes, I think.

hope this helps alittle Lori 34 weeks and 5days
