swelling still in fingers since birth of twin, breastfeeding twinsFrom: Fizzy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 31 Dec 2000 20:34:42 -0600 (CST)
Thanks for your time We had twin girls 12 weeks ago, I am breast feeding them both, I had lots of swelling in the legs and fingers in pregnancy, the swelling took 3 weeks to go in my legs after the twins were born, but my fingers are still swollen and stiff, still can't wear my wedding rings etc., I have been told I could take a diuretic for the swelling, like Moduretic, but as I am breast feeding I am not sure this is a good idea, the condition with my hands feels like it could be carpal tunnel syndrome, except I have no pain my my wrists, my knuckles my fingers they are stiff, I have asked a few doctors and they say it will go in time, it's just it is nearly 3 months, any suggestion would be great??, is this condition common??, I had swelling with my other pregnancy's, but after the babies were born back to normal, I am of normal weight, did not gain more than the normal for a twin pregnancy, never got hypertension or high blood pressure, was induced at 38 weeks with the twins, both weighed 6.07 oz Many thanks Fizzy
