Inconsistent ultrasound measurements

The tech and doc at our last u/s were in a tizzy because our 33 week baby's head measurement did not allign with her femur and belly (?) measurements. Her head was in the 25% but her other measurements were smaller. (They wouldn't say how small.) We'll go in again in at 36 weeks but meanwhile...

Is there a margin of error here? They kept saying things like, "This can't be right. Let me remeasure. Were you a small baby? (No) Was your son small? (No) Are you sure about your LMP? (Yes)"

I've had trouble eating and putting on weight and have gained about 12 pounds less than I did at this point with my son.

She seems active and has a good heartbeat but I'd love more reassurance!

Drinking Ensure and hoping for the best, Jen age 36 edd 2-2-01 PS The 1 in 11 AFP results turned out fine and the fluid around her heart seems to have cleared. As soon as we get this problem checked we seem likely to be given a new one!
