There's no official stand from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Since most people don't even know til they're 6 weeks pregnant, many things are done that we may disagree with. If you're going to do anything, don't fall and don't get hurt (sounds more parental than medical). Good luck with the pregnancy.
