I had a 2nd u/s done 12/28 at 6wks6dys and we saw a beautiful 7wk size baby w/hb. The doc also noticed 2 ovarian cysts on my right ovary- one the size of a dime and one a bit bigger. It looked like one was at on one side of the ovary and one on the other. I had my 1st u/s done at 4 wks5dys and there was only a sac, of course, and I believe the doc looked at my ovaries and said they looked fine. I've read the postings about cysts but still am a little unsure. I've had 2 m/cs already- one a blighted ovum at 9 wks and another at 4-5 wks (no sac on u/s). My questions are: Do cysts develop during pregnancy or were they there at the 1st u/s and just not detectable? What exactly causes ovarian cysts when you're pregnant? Should I have another u/s before the typical 20 wks to make sure they resolved?
