The accuracy of predicting preterm labor resulting in preterm birth of a fetal fibronectin test is only about 45%. Further, given the fact that you are 1cm/50%, I could have told you that your fetal fibronectin test would be positive and you could have sent me the $250. When there is significant cervical change associated with contractions, the fibronectin is GOING to be positive. The efficacy of the test is only two weeks as well. Don't let then do another one. The fact that your cervix is 1cm/50% indicates that you are certainly at risk for preterm birth, but to give percentages at this stage is very hard. I certainly would agree with the bedrest... Lynn
