luteal phase defect med follow up -Dr. MontgomeryFrom: amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 20 Dec 2000 19:41:51 -0600 (CST)
Dr. Montgomery, I appreciate your response regardiing the question I posed abt. starting Follistim b/c I showed 4-5days lacking on an endometrial biopsy. Your response puzzles me b/c you stated that I need an ovuation stimulant b/c I could not be ovulating since I have a luteal phase defect. I was going to the fertility dr. every other day before the biopsy and they showed through ultrasound and bloodwork that I did ovualte. As a matter of fact, they showed me a "perfectly ovulated egg" on the last day of ovuation and then we counted 10 days from there to get a date for the biopsy. In fact, all the previous ultrasounds showed 2 big eggs that were ready to be released- they think due to the Clomid. Also, before I was on the Clomid, I never had a problem w/ovulating. the ovulation monitor showed peak days each month. So I am confused about why you would state that I need the medication for luteal phase defect when everything showed that I was ovulating. Thank you for your response.
