I don't have any specific info for you, except to say that it can't be all that rare for an abortion to be unsuccessful. It happened to me. I had to have the procedure repeated. After my first attempt there was another girl in the recovery area who was having a second procedure for the same pregnancy. I know there's nothing scientific about that, but I get the feeling it happens more than we know. Most I believe go on to have another D&C. I admire your decision and hope all goes well for you. I would think that with a very advanced ultrasound, as things go on, they could detect any problems resulting from the abortion attempt. Sounds good so far though! Congrats.
