I suffered a 3rd degree tear during the birth of my son 13 weeks ago. I tore through to my rectum and approximately 2 inches back in my vagina. At my 6 week check-up my doctor said everything looked fine and healed, but I am still having pain and intercourse is unbearable. I know breastfeeding can make lubrication a problem, but how long does it take for things to get back to normal there? Is it normal for intercourse to still be so painful? Is there anything I can do about it? I feel like I can feel my scar and it hurts when my partner rubs against it. Thank you in advance.
