Why isn't NST a standard test for all?From: anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 8 Dec 2000 08:05:26 -0600 (CST)
I am 30w and have been experiencing a lot of BH contractions for 7 weeks (>50 per day). My OB hasn't sent me for an NST nor does she plan to. Yet I have a friend who had one (she has diabetes) and she found out that the baby wasn't tolerating her contractions well (she didn't even know she was having contractions). How do I know if MY baby is doing ok during all of MY contractions? Why aren't NSTs given to all pregnant women?
