My name is Elizabeth Rodriguez and I've had a similar experience. I am 7 weeks pregnant and my ultrasound showed a separation from my amnion and chorion. The doctor said the chorion was floating about loosely and there was a generous amount of space between the amnion and chorion. She said she had no answers for me about this. Basically it is abnormal and she doesn't know what caused it or how it can be fixed. We just have to wait 4 more weeks to see if the linings have grown closer together. This is my first pregnancy and I don't know why this has happened. Please let me know if you've ever heard of this condition. Thanks.
