You would have a whole lot more swelling than just in you feet. Toxmia is really serious, danger signs are seisures, swelling in face, legs, feet, hands you name it. Headaches than really impair you vision, your blood pressure will be really high, I had a aunt that almost dead from this, it was about 15 years ago. Doctors really pay attention more to it now. You could have preclampia which can turn in to toxima, sign of it is protein in urine, high blood pressure, headaches mess with your vision, suddenly swelling in your feet, face. And what you are doing is basicly all that can be done. My feet get the same way , can't even where my shoes. I had preclampia with my son, and I have it now. Believe me, if on one of your check ups, your doctors sees that you have a sudden increase in blood pressure, and protein in urine. He will take precautions. My doctor, put me on total bed rest for the last 4 weeks of pregnancy with my son. Now, this time my blood pressure has been a lot better because I am drinking my water, which is about 8 onces for every hour I am up. I stay away from salt. I stay off of my feet, but I still take a bout a thirty minute walk everyday. And also I keep my feet elevated. See if your sitting down with your feet daggeling it will not help, they have to be propped up. I know that if you have gained alot of weight and if you stay on your feet, it will cause them to swell really bad. With my, first little boy, I gain almost fify pounds. With this one because of what I went through with him, I have gained 13 pounds, and it has helped so much. And If I were you discuss things with your doctor. They do check to see if you have swelling, which is common in pregnancy. hope this helps Lori 29 weeks 5 days
