Excessive Swelling in feet/anklesFrom: Marjorie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Nov 2000 10:27:40 -0600 (CST)
I am 34 weeks pg and for the last month or so, my feet/ankles have been SO swollen... to the point where wearing shoes is a big problem. I trust my doctor when he tells me it's normal, but should this be something to be concerned about? My husband and family are terribly concerned that I have toxima or something.... but the doctor doesn't "check" me for that (or if he does, I don't know it). Is there any way to help reduce this swelling other than constantly having my feet up and drinking gallons of water a day? It is just now starting to become painful to bend my foot - that's how swollen they are!! Thanks for your help.
