I think the tanning bed is only safe if you don't elevate your body temp too high. I would try to use a bed that hasn't been used yet for the day so it doesn't heat up as much. I would only color my hair if the chemical stayed on the outside of the cap without penetrating the scalp. I would also do it outdoors because the ammonia fumes are very potent. This is just my opinion as a holistic minded person.
