A baby needs to be able to take a bottle in case he/she needs to be left overnight, or, God Forbid, if something happens to Mom. There are many reasons that a baby should be able to take a bottle and if for some odd reason, the baby loses interest in the breast, there is nothing to worry about. A breast pump and a bottle will get the job done.
