hi, well heres the deal, in 9 days im having surgery..c-section, hernia repair, and was suppose to have tubal all at same time. Do to my health problems and problems that can arsie and cause more pain,stress, and possible more surgeries, any more pregnancies is putting my self at risk, and i also have 2 children well this is my 2nd and im married and have no need for anymore but thats not the main reason for the tubal. Ok well, 6 or so weeks ago all this was dicussed with my obgyn and im only 19 and he didnt want to do it but agreed because of my circumstances with my health, well, all was set for go..everything, and 2 weeks ago i signed the paperwork for it to be done, and they were telling me, not the dr his nurse, telling me that she would call medicaid my insurance to see if theres another form since im under 21, well she said also that it doesnt matter the paper i signed is giving permission to my dr to do the tubal, an dif medicaid didnt pay in the end they would just write it off and get re-embursed at the end of the year. Ok so everything set, well yesturday at the dr, 6 business days, b4 the surgery they tell me, well medicaid wont pay, we cant do it, then i start asking why and telling them medicaid will pay, and the nurse chages it around saying its nothing to do with insurance at all its my dr, and its unethical her words, to do it on me my age, yet my dr all along tells me he will, and they wait to tell me all this 6 business days b4 the surgery so that i have no time to find another dr and get htis dealt with in time, i wanted this all done in 1 surgery, convenience for me yes, because ill be going home to 2 small babies and having to recover from teh csec and hernia surgery, also i have to heart procedures being done after the baby that i have to recover from, so now i have all this stress figuring out if i canget this done when i go in, same time ya know, i go back for my last appt to my ob next week wendsday, im going to start top to bottom with him and find out why i was lied to and given the run around and hope he sees my point and goes ahead and does it because he alreayd told me he would. And its not an insurance thing at all, because the nurse first tried to tell me ( the lady who does all the scheduling and paperwork for stuff) tried saying it was medicaid then i obviously something unexpected from her told her im covered under my husbands insurance also, and i would just pay the 250 copay i owuld have to pay and they would cover it, then she follows with its not an issue about insurance because they could write it off, its my dr as a surgeon thinks its unethical, and when i try telling her what the dr told me, she just keeps saying well im not arguing with you, is there anything i should also mention to teh dr when i go back to help my chance of having this donw now, i dont want so many surgeries to recover from im sure you can see my point of view, and since i will already be cut open why not clip them and tie them then instead of making life harder on me by goinbg thru yet another surgery when it can be done the same time as my csection and hernia repair, those 2 surgeries are both being done same time, also the tubal was suppose to , now i have signed the paperwork for it, now its like they are being indian giveres trying to take it all back, im not getting clear answers from them, im sorry so long but i tried explaining as much and as least as i could for you to understand my situation. please give me any insight you might have. thankyou, michelle
