? about uterus size

I had my 12 wk checkup with peri yesterday. Heard the baby's hb, sounded nice and strong. However, the nurse measured me and said my uterus measured 16 wks. This alarmed me and I asked my peri if this was ok. He said a woman who has been pregnant before can expand more - sooner. I have had 2 u/s already(7 & 9 wks) so I know its not twins. I have had 3 pregnancies before. A full term 8lb 11oz baby boy, a miscarriage and my last preg. was complicated by HELLP. I had my daughter at 25 wks. Both deliveries were c-sections. This will be my last pregnancy, I'm 36 and it is exhausting when it is high risk. My baby girl did not make it last year and I really seem to be doing good so far with my blood pressure and health. I am worried about this because I read sometimes a woman can have too much amniotic fluid. I'm not diabetic. I'm overweight and carry most of my weight in my tummy(even after losing 5 pds from m/s). Can this screw up the measurement? Should I not worry about this?

Thanks Joyce
