Maternal age & birth control pill?

Is there a cut off in age past which the birth control pill would not be a good idea?

I am 34 and not ready to decide permanent BC measures. We may want a child in the next 2 years and tired of the condoms. I also do not want an IUD. Is age 34 too old to ask for the pill until we make a final decision on having one more baby?

Thank You
