McIntosh MD: "Re: 8 weeks pregnant and question about cervix" I've read that the cervix is to soften throughout pregnancy, and that it is one sign of pregnancy. I'm 8 weeks along and am still awaiting my initial OB exam. If the cervix does not seems soft to me (but is instead low and hard), does this mean a potential problem? I'm not checking more than the one time that I did, for fear of infection. Thank you.
