4 pregnancy losses ....From: Anny (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 6 Nov 2000 00:45:12 -0600 (CST)
Hello, I am 31 and a little bit lost. My 4th pregnancy has just terminated at 10 weeks and the first 3 ones were not more successfull : the first one in 96 has been medically terminated at 24 weeks after severe IUGR and olygoamnios, the second one in 97 was an early loss at 10 weeks and the third one in 99 was again an IUGR with oligoamnios and unnormal doppler profiles... Further investigation were carried out by this time and no reason was found : No APS syndrom, normal cariotypes for the foetus and both of us, spermogram and hysterosalpinginogram(?) were OK. Our last pregnancy was closely followed : Aspirin and heparin, rest and calm, no sprotive activities except yoga classes and swimming... but still it wasn't enough.. We don't know what to do now : should we stop trying to "make one baby by ourselves" ? I feel guilty as well: maybe I don't want it to happen enough... I know that it can be even worse, everybody try to recomfort us with stories of women with 7/8 losses and one wonderfull child... Do I miss sthg? Is ther further investigation we should do, other treatment, paralle medecine we should try ??? Thanks for your help..
-- Anny
