The AFP itself is referred to as a screen, so I am not sure that that phrase refers to your antibody screen. The mother's blood count and hematocrit are unaffected by sensitization. Remember, the antibodies are made to defend the mother's blood from this invader. The antibodies are made to seek out and destroy that OTHER blood, not the mother's. The grades refer to the appearance of the placenta on U/S, ranging from young looking to aged looking.
