Sometimes I would have a light brown spotting, sometimes nothing. When I was taking the pill, I'd have a period maybe once or twice a year and it would be real heavy. But most of the time I'd just have a day of light brown spotting. It took me a year or so before my periods became somewhat regular after stopping bcps, and even then they would sometimes be 5 or 6 weeks apart. I did take the pill for 8 years, though, and have other problems as well (endometriosis). Anyway, I also had spotting when my first missed period was due after I became pregnant, but it wasn't quite the same, and I had a gut feeling that I was pregnant. best wishes to you! Stacy
