I had a D&C for a missed miscarriage on 9/18 and still haven't gotten my period. The Dr. checked my HCG levels on Fri, 10/27, and they were 14.9. Today they were at 9. Could this HCG really be from the previous pregnancy or is it possible that it's from a new pregnancy? If it's from a new pregnancy, is a miscarriage inevitable since my HCG levels have decreased? When can I expect to get my period? I appreciate any thoughts you have.
