17 weeks with menstrual like crampsFrom: Rebecca (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Oct 2000 12:49:11 -0600 (CST)
Hi I am 17 weeks pregnant and for the last 4 days have been experiencing slight menstrual like cramps. Earlier in my pregnancy I was on progesterone suppositories for low progesterone level. (5.9) My HCG levels were healthy and normal. I experienced this same cramping on and off early in my pregnancy - occasional cramping until 8 weeks. Now, 2 months later cramping is back. Ultrasounds, one just last Thursday, confirm a normal pregnancy thus far. Should I be worried about this cramping? I have had no bleeding associated with it. Also, is there any correlation between premature delivery and low progesterone levels early in pregnancy? Or, once the placenta takes over is that really a moot point from then on? Thanks for your help. Rebecca
