At what point does postpartum bleeding become a concern?From: MD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Oct 2000 11:41:52 -0600 (CST)
I am 3 weeks' postartum and still continue to alternate between brownish and bright red bleeding with small clots and tissue (which is what I am having today). I'm not sure how long to let this go before it might be considered a problem. It doesn't seem to be related to activity. I can be sitting or sleeping and still continue to bleed. I'm just not sure this is normal. I know that some women experience a "mini-period" at three weeks but since I have had this bleeding since giving birth, I don't think that is what I am experiencing.
