I also was cardioverted when I was pregnant with my first. Not all meds
are out of the question. I took Norpace, an antiarrhytmic drug during
my pregnancy. In some cases the benefits of the drugs outweigh the
risks. My daughter was born healthy and had no problems. I am
currently 9 weeks pregnant with my third and take atenolol to slow my
heart rate down. I would definately get a second opinion about meds.
Your fast heart rate could cause the baby to have low oxygen. After you
have the baby discuss what can be done to safeguard the future. Good
luck!
