27 wks preg with tooth sensitivityFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netFri, 27 Oct 2000 08:35:33 -0500 (CDT)
i'm 27 weeks pregnant with my first baby. very smooth pregnancy thus far. however, lately my mouth is very sensitive to hot foods...my teeth and gums when i eat something hot. i know that pregnancy can cause swelling of the gums but would this pain be associated with pregnancy? i do have an appointment with my dentist in a month but wanted to see if you could shed some light. also...i've popped big time within the last 2 weeks....is this normal? i haven't had my gtt test yet (next week) but some of the books that i have read said that sudden growth spurts could be a cause of gestational diabetes. Let me know your thoughts. thank you, maryjoan
